Engl E850 100 Power Amplifier
Engl E850 2x100 Watt power amp. I have had this amplifier for about 6 years, bought new from GAK. It has been serviced andrevalved by Essex Amp Repairs in Witham, Essex. It's been gigged but has been looked after. It comes with aflight case made by Castle Cases. The case was custom made that included sidevents to dissipate the heat. There is also a manual supplied with the sale ofthe amplifier. The amplifier is in excellent condition with only rack rash thatis visible when the rack screws are removed (see photos). Also and somescratches on the underside of the amplifier. This is a high end amplifier thathas quite a few features listed in the Features section. One useful feature is the ground lift switch. If the amp is coupled toa preamp and there is a distinctive buzz or hum, selecting the ground lift willremove this. Engl E850 At A Glance. The ENGL E850/100 is a high-end tube power amp with two100-watt channels for maximum headroom. It's driven by 6L6GC tubes and has 2 switchable volumes per channel and 2 separate Presence and Depth controls.

The ENGLE850/100 is equipped with two 4-ohm, two 8-ohm outputs and one 16-ohm output per channel for justabout every speaker cabinet configuration imaginable. In order to toggle between Volume A/B and Sound Set A/B from a distance, the ENGL E850/100 TubePower amp has a stereo mini jackfootswitch input. Connect an optional ENGLZ-4 footswitch or a MIDI switchingsystem such as the ENGL Z-11 MIDISwitcher. Tubes: 3x ECC83 (input and phase splitter), 4x 6L6GC.Gain Lo/Hi for adjusting input sensitivity: Lo = -10dBV, Hi = -25dBV. 2x volume controls per channel for toggling betweenrhythm and solo parts. Volume A/B switchable via optional ENGL Z-4 footswitch orENGL Z-11 Midi Switcher. Unique Sound Set circuit: 2 separate Presence and Depthcontrols.
