McINTOSH MC30 TUBE POWER AMPLIFIER (MONOBLOCK). Excellent A+, Unit presents extremely well! Fully serviced and bench tested. PHOTOS are considered part of the description. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. Please view and zoom in on all pics for more details and a better understanding of the quality. Fully detailed and cleaned inside and out. The chassis is very good with some minor pitting which is visible in the pics. Conclusion: I give it a 7 out of 10. Technical service work performed by Mike Zuccaro of Audiocraftsman, a McIntosh Factory Authorized Service Center, San Diego, CA. BENCH TESTED A+ / SCORED 100%. FULLY FUNCTIONAL, EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD. All dust has been carefully removed from the interior of the unit and all exterior surfaces have been meticulously cleaned.

Control pots have been cleaned and lubricated and operate flawlessly. All solder joints have been checked with a jewelers loupe for cold solder and reflowed where necessary, especially the loose filament connections to tubes. Rewired for 120 volts vs 115 volts.

Replaced selenium rectifier with modern silicon. Checked all coupling caps for leakage and capacitance. Measured and confirmed correct bias. All tubes checked and confirmed values are good. All tube sockets were cleaned and tightened. Test run for many hours. Power output: 30 watts into 8? Frequency response: 20Hz to 30kHz.

Total harmonic distortion: 0.3%. Signal to noise ratio: 90dB. Valve complement: 2 x 6L6GC, 2 x 12AX7 1 x 12AU7, 1 x 12BH7, 1 x 5U4GA.
